Q: Please introduce you briefly.

Hello, everyone, I am Zou Miaoqi, a musician coming from mainland China. I was born in Ankang a city in Shaanxi Province. That is a beautiful town where I have had a wonderful childhood. I have fallen in love with music at a young age, while my parents have supported me a lot. When I was 16, my classmate and I held a band and we gave it a lovely name: spin band. At that time, we always went to give performances and we won many followers. The members in team are still my friends now. Then I want to Beijing to learn music systematically. It was fortunate that the teacher recommended me many rare opportunities to practice, which helped me accumulate valuable experience. After graduation, I have signed with the company Time global and have become a professional musician. I create works for the company and also release my own works regularly. Now, I have established my own studio with the support of the company. As I grow older, get more experience, and get more feelings towards the meaning and value of life, I hope I can create some actual value in the industry and bring positive influence to audiences. I am keeping trying for these.

When I heard this song for the first time, I felt warm. It was like your relatives were calling you. From the professional perspective, firstly, I feel moved about the lyrics. For example, “although suffering from being adrift and aimless, never give up any child”, “have traveled hundreds of places, still say I was born in China”, these lyrics are sincere but not exaggerate, which really touches my inner world. Ant the melody is also engaging with the sound of birds and streams as well as the beautiful sound of piano, which makes people feel they are really in the picture. The emotion of the whole work is mild and indirect and has a certain of tension, which attract people a lot. This song Born in China creates a picture that a mother has suffered many difficulties and sorrow, but she will never give up her children. I believe every audience will find an echo after hearing this song. It’s my honor to sing this song.

Q:Please talk about China in your mind.

Firstly, I was born in China. China is my hometown that carries all my memory about my childhood and my future dreams. In my mind, China is a gorgeous country with beautiful traditions. I feel this because of my life experiences. I was born in a small town, and my grandmother’s home is in an ancient town where I have spent the best time of my life. it is also the most beautiful place in my mind. While in the prosperous city, I see people fighting for dreams and I experience the past-paced life. I have also traveled many cities of China, and all the beautiful views, mountains, lakes are telling me that China is a place that is blessed by fortune. Here you can see human habitation and lasting development. What’s more, China, is my hometown.

Q: I heard that you created many music for children, please introduce them briefly.

My first work was for children. I'm grateful when I think back. While creating the music for children, I need to forget that I am an adult and I need to use the perspective and thinking of children to see and explore the world of them, which you won’t do when create the music for adults. I really enjoy this time. however, I treat this work seriously. Because the children who are in the stage of child’s voice are in the most important period of establishing the world and value. Music is the carrier that will influence their cognition and mind. All of these reminds me that if my works can give them the positive influence or not. So, to write songs for children is not a work, but a responsibility and the original intention of creation.

I hope I can do music well. Music is my love and also the mission of my life. I hope I can keep developing my professional skills and quality, and I hope I can treat this work with wider horizon. I am looking forward to bringing more great works for audiences, and giving them positive influence with music.
